A Mother’s Day to Remember at Qs School

At Qs School, ESG isn’t just a framework—it’s a way of being.

We believe education should grow more than minds. It should grow hearts. That’s why this Mother’s Day, 1,296 students from our Box Hill campus embarked on a journey not just of creativity, but of emotion, soul, and growth.

Through our renewed philosophy—ESG Inner Growth (Emotion · Soul · Growth)—we reimagined what a celebration of love could look like. The result? A week of unforgettable moments, hand-crafted gifts, and heartfelt connection.

A Bouquet for Mum

Between May 6–11, the classrooms of Qs School were alive with the quiet rustle of paper and the joyful chatter of tiny voices.

During our “A Bouquet for Mum” activity, students poured their creativity into handmaking floral gifts. Guided by their teachers, they cut, coloured, folded, and wrote. Every flower was unique. Every message, sincere.

Each child wrote:

“Three reasons why I love my mum.”

And their answers were enough to melt even the toughest heart:

“Because she picks me up from school every day.” “She draws with me.” “Mum always smiles like the sun.”

These simple words revealed something profound:

• Each flower was an act of independence.

• Each bouquet, a burst of emotional awareness.

• Each message, a window into a child’s inner world.

This was more than a craft. It was connection in its purest form.

Love, Hand-Delivered

On May 11, our Box Hill campus hosted a special hands-on session—Love, Hand-Delivered.

Twenty students gathered for something extraordinary: hand-painting canvas bags as gifts for their mums.

Brushes moved across fabric with purpose and joy—hearts, flowers, kind words appearing stroke by stroke. Each bag was a one-of-a-kind masterpiece, lovingly made and personally delivered by the little artist.

In a world of digital messages and instant clicks, these gifts reminded us:

• Love is in the effort.

• Beauty is in the intention.

• Growth is in the giving.

Families will sit down for guided interviews, exploring the meaningful questions we often forget to ask:

“What’s your favourite memory of us?” “What do you wish I knew?” “What would you like to thank me for?”

Through these heart-to-heart conversations, we’ll collect not just stories, but memories that last a lifetime.
